Do you install new solar systems, or only repair existing ones?

We focus on repairs and maintenance for existing solar systems. We diagnose, troubleshoot, and service panels, wiring, inverters, microinverters, batteries, monitoring, and related equipment rather than selling or installing complete new solar systems.

Where do you provide solar repair?

We serve homes from Bakersfield to Chico (everywhere in between) and all of the Bay Area. Our shop is in Rocklin, CA.

What brands and equipment do you work on?

We service all major solar brands and manufacturers. We are authorized partners for SunStrong, Enphase, SolarEdge, and Tigo, and we are certified with brands including SolarEdge, Enphase, Tesla, SunPower, Tigo, SMA, and Schneider Electric.

Are you licensed in California?

Yes. Placer Solar Solutions is a licensed California contractor (CA License #1135215) with C-46 solar and C-10 electrical classifications. We are also certified with the manufacturers and brands we work with, including SolarEdge, Enphase, Tesla, SunPower, Tigo, SMA, and Schneider Electric.

How do I request service?

Fill out the request form with your name, address, and a short note about the symptoms. A trained team member will contact you by phone, email, or text to discuss next steps. You can also call (916) 660-6621.

Do you still service SunPower systems after the bankruptcy?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If your original SunPower installer is gone or unresponsive, we can diagnose the system, replace failed hardware, and get production reporting working again. Visit our SunPower Service page to request help.

Question 7

My solar production dropped. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

Low production is often a failed panel, string, inverter, optimizer, or wiring issue — not a reason to replace the whole system. A diagnostic visit lets us pinpoint the loss and recommend a targeted repair.

The monitoring app stopped reporting. Can you fix that?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We troubleshoot and replace monitoring hardware, repair connectivity, and restore reporting so you can see live production data again.

Question 9

Can you remove and reinstall panels for a reroof?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We carefully remove panels and racking, coordinate around the roofing work, then reinstall and reconnect the system and verify it is producing.

Do you install critter guards and clean panels?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Critter guard keeps birds and small animals from nesting or chewing wiring. Module cleaning removes dust, pollen, and debris so panels can capture more sunlight.

How soon can someone come out?
